A spice box, or masala dabba, is found in almost every traditional Indian kitchen.

It’s the palette for the chef, complete with crushed green cardamom, golden turmeric, savory cumin and warm, ground coriander ripe for experimentation.

Those spices, a staple in traditional Indian cooking, are not only delectable for the taste buds, also have healing properties for the body.
