High school student members of Delaware HOSA spent several months learning about a particular rare disease and presented their research findings at Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. The students interact with patients and their families, and work with researchers, clinicians and other healthcare professionals. They’re judged on their ability to present themselves and communicate the rare disease information to others, as well as propose a cure/treatment or way to improve a quality of life issue. HOSA works collaboratively with the UD College of Health Sciences Pipeline Program.
