The University of Delaware – School of Nursing offers dynamic graduate programs which give applicants the choice of earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing Science degree or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. The mission of the Applied Physiology Ph.D. program is to provide advanced training to students in the field of applied physiology with the goal of preparing students for research-based careers. PhD in Medical Sciences is a graduate interdisciplinary program with faculty from the College of Health Sciences (Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Behavioral Health and Nutrition, Kinesiology and Applied Physiology) – Programs of study focus on topics in the areas of pathogenesis of disease, biomarkers that can aid in diagnosis and treatment, evidence-based practice, and the underlying mechanisms of chronic illness.
