Dave Mills, 63, doesn’t let his spinocerebellar degeneration disorder get in the way of his passion for swimming. He’s an inspiration to the University of Delaware students who visit him each week as part of Lori’s Hands, a non-profit that helps people with chronic illness. A College of Health Sciences course gives students the opportunity to learn about the healthcare system and community-based care by working with clients like Dave.
