WELCOME TO
STAR TOWER

Education

The next generation classroom isn’t a classroom at all. In the new STAR Tower, students will learn through a mixing of research, care and interdisciplinary collaboration. They will solve the grand healthcare challenges of tomorrow — today.

The space has been designed to include virtual reality and augmented reality education spaces including a simulation apartment, labs, a demonstration kitchen, a health innovation design lab and maker space, and audion. These facilities will give students the opportunity to work across disciplines to solve community driven challenges  — all while working with community collaborators, industry leaders and policy makers. State-of-the-art video capture technology will ensure that activities are shared in teaching spaces for broader learning experiences. Students will take advantage of a healthcare digital library to remain up-to-date on all the latest advances in the field and take advantage of the world-renowned speakers that visit STAR Campus. The STAR Tower will enhance educational learning opportunities from undergraduates to post-docs. This new facility will be an educational gem for the region to train the next generation of healthcare professionals.
